Mix design and reinforcement
Engineer's loading schedule drives mix strength (C30–C40 typical), depth (75–250mm depending on loading), and reinforcement (fibre, mesh, or both). We supply mix design and delivery tickets for every load, full traceability for building control and main contractor records.
Joint detailing for large pours
Day joints, movement joints, construction joints, and isolation joints all detailed to engineer's spec. Joint formers installed during pour, sealant strips applied after cure. Joint layout governed by pour geometry, loading and curing shrinkage, not by where it happens to be convenient.
Programme integration
Pre-start meetings, weekly programme reviews, daily site presence during pour weeks. We co-ordinate with steel, cladding, MEP, partition and finishes trades so the floor is poured when the building is ready and signed off when the next trade needs it.
Warehouse, retail and leisure differences
Warehouse: high point-load, FM2 flatness for VNA racking, fibre-reinforced typical. Retail: SR2 flatness for tile, vinyl, LVT, careful trade integration with shop-fit programme. Leisure: chemical resistance, slip resistance, often with falls to drains. Industrial: heavy point load, possibly chemical exposure, often with sealed surface treatments.
Sign-off and documentation
Flatness records, moisture test certificates, mix delivery tickets, RAMS and method statements all bundled into a handover pack. Manufacturer product warranties registered to the main contractor or end client as required.
