Last updated 1 May 2026
These terms apply to all quotations, bookings and works carried out by South Wales Liquid Screed, trading as 2D Construction 2018 Cyf, of Unit 39 Penmaen Industrial Estate, Blackwood NP12 2DZ ("we", "us"). By accepting our quotation you ("the Client") agree to these terms.
1. Quotations
Written quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued. Verbal estimates are indicative only and do not form a contract. A quotation becomes binding once accepted in writing (including email) by the Client.
2. Site readiness
The Client is responsible for ensuring the site is ready for pour on the agreed date, clear of obstructions, with appropriate access, services available where required, and any required permits or TROs in place. Wasted journey or standing time may be charged where the site is not ready.
3. Substrate, DPM and pre-pour conditions
Unless specifically included in the quotation, the substrate, damp-proof membrane and insulation are the responsibility of the Client. Where we identify unsuitable substrate at survey, we will state this in writing; proceeding against our advice is at the Client's risk.
4. Pricing and payment
Prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. Payment terms are 30 days net from invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payment may incur statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5. Variations
Any variation from the quoted specification, area, depth, mix, access method, will be priced separately and confirmed in writing before being carried out wherever practicable.
6. Drying and follow-on trades
Drying times depend on environmental conditions and floor build-up. We provide indicative timeframes and, on request, calcium carbide moisture readings. The Client is responsible for verifying moisture content before committing to floor coverings.
7. Liability
We maintain £10m public liability insurance, with certificates available on request. Our liability for any claim is limited to the value of the works under contract, save for liability that cannot be limited under law.
8. Cancellation
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the booked pour date incur no charge. Cancellations inside 48 hours may incur a charge equal to allocated wagon and crew costs.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
